Enjoy the great outdoors by taking a hike with the City of Henderson. Hikes vary in length and are a great way to get in shape while exploring the trails. Dress for the weather. Youth (under 18 years) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Registration is required. 4th grade students are eligible for the free Every Kid in a Park public lands pass that allows passholders and their families free entry into federal public lands Sept. 1, 2018-Aug. 31, 2019 of their 4th grade year. Passes are available at Lake Mead NRA and Red Rock Canyon NCA. Take in the scenery of ponderosa pines, aspens and two waterfalls on this hike that includes an elevation gain of 984 feet. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring two liters of water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a sack lunch. Roundtrip transportation is provided.
